Walking Group – Ladybower Reservoir | 5th April 2025

It was a beautiful sunny day for our walking group at Ladybower Reservoir, a large artificial lake nestled in the Upper Derwent Valley, Derbyshire. Located within the Peak District National Park, Ladybower is surrounded by breathtaking countryside and offers a variety of scenic trails perfect for nature walks and hikes.

This iconic reservoir holds historical significance as a training site for the Dambusters during World War II. Visitors are often drawn to its panoramic views and unique features, including the famous "plughole" overflows—an impressive engineering sight.
