We were thrilled to host "Digital Discovery Camping", a unique outdoor experience made possible through the Creative Development Grants Funding. "This event has been made possible through the Creative Development Grants Funding. This funding has been awarded by @Children’s Capital of Culture Festival Year 2025."

Date: Saturday–Monday, 27–29 September 2025

Location:  The-Bull-i-thorn Campsite, Ashbourne Road, Hurdlow, Derbyshire, SK17 9QQ

Check-in: 14:00

Despite the challenging weather conditions, we welcomed 20 registered families to the beautiful Peak District. While some families had to leave early due to the rain, those who stayed embraced the spirit of adventure and discovery. Over three inspiring days, young people and families explored how digital tools can deepen our connection with nature. Guided by skilled facilitators, participants co-created engaging activities such as:

GPS scavenger hunts

Point-to-point navigation challenges

Nature photography prompts

Wildflower and animal identification using digital resources

The event was completely free of charge, offering a rare opportunity for families to experience creativity, technology, and the outdoors in harmony.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us—rain or shine—for this unforgettable weekend of learning, exploration, and community. Your enthusiasm made Digital Discovery Camping a true success!

This event, proudly supported by the Creative Development Grants Funding and @Children’s Capital of Culture Festival Year 2025, was a celebration of curiosity, connection, and creativity.
